Tollywood betimes Bollywood

It might sound bizzare! But it's true. Bollywood is well known for the glitzy, glam and money it puts into industry but down south Tollywood is no less. The recent films released in Tollywood have taken a toll over many big-budget Bollywood films. The reason is simple, originality and meaningful stories. Now that doesn't mean that Bollywood doesn't procreates meaningful stories, but look at the list of films released lately and you know. Most of the Hindi films are either taken from the Hollywood flicks or Tollywood (latest trend). It has been a tradition followed since the begining. Twenty years back most of the Bollywood flims were adapted from the Bengali cinema then came a romantic era where we found some original stuff. This was followed by gen-next who thought that re-making the Hollywood films in Bollywood ishtyle would work with the audience. Last but not the least is picking up hit films from down south which is working really well.
The reason is simple that there is still some originality left in the south. Though they too have picked handful of meaningful Bollywood films and remade it to huge success. Bollywood is going through a phase, where the directors and producer believe that showing skin and black comedy can get audience. Whereas down south audience have a hunger for entertainment. They believe in complete packaging which has action, comedy and romance too. And yes not to forget a social angle too in their films. It's also the craze people carry for their favorite stars that has made Tollywood such a big industry. For Bollywood they need to take some lessons from Tollywood rather than borrowing stories from them.
Please comment on this........this is incomplete but I would like to know whether it's sounding interesting. Lately I have been watching some blockbuster cinemas of down-south and this are the things I have noted.....

TWEET TWEET on TWITTER

Tweeting on TWITTER is the favorite pass time of all the artists, superstars of Bollywood. If you are not able to communicate with your favorite stars well then here is a networking sites where you can find all your favorite stars. It's rather difficult to understand that whether the stars really enjoy tweeting on this site or is it one of the simplest way coming up, of self-pr. Well the stars need to know that twitter is not the only social networking sites we have where they can communicate with their fans. But nobody can deny the special features twitter offers. Uber twitter, twitterteriffic, echofon, tweetdeck, etc, etc... are the special softwares which allows to access twitter from various handsets on the go. So our film fraternity is always connected to the fans. Hold on, hold on... this is not the it, it allows you to get connected to other well-known social networking sites like facebook, myspace, etc. Thus, Twitter allows our favorite stars to connect with such social networking sites as well to various fan communities to communicate with their fans. Communicating should be looked as a huge word over twitter because our favorite stars are not just communicating or sharing but are also publicizing themselves, their products, etc. Twitter has become more of marketing tool. The latest example to follow is that of Karan Johar tweets. Of course, he is holidaying and keeping his fans updated about whatever he is doing but he is also continues to speak about MNIK. Lets forget this, Konkana Sen Sharma too is constantly posting the videos of her mom's forthcoming film, The Japanese Wife. Heyy, me to watched the first promo and loved it. It's not right or wrong but we need to see that this is a highly efficient way of promoting the films, stars, etc. Lastly, it feels great to communicate with the stars on Twitter so Tweet Tweet on Twitter.

Dubbing industry

Yesterday, i was watching this channel UTV Action and just realised that all of a sudden there has been a hike in number of channels which premieres the dubbed movies or shows. Dubbing industry has been a big industry since very long time but now it's getting better with the number of channels like Firangi, UTV Action, Nickelodeon, etc. I remember watching shows on Animal PLanet, Discovery, etc which were dubbed that too selected shows. But now you have complete channels where all the shows are dubbed. So my point is simple that now we have a new entertainment industry booming that is of dubbing. It was just a observation anyways.

My Name is Khan

The last movie i saw was my name is khan(mnik). Okay when i started watching i was loving it to be very honest but the twist itself of killing that poor kid was not fair for me. Maybe i m interfering with the story or idea of director but it's my pint of view. Okay the message was there in the film but what exactly was going exactly. I found the editing poor too. And something was missing too. Though SRK was in his best form and has had very good special moments like one where Kajol asks to marry. But overall the movie was not that great for me guys.
